Page 5 of 5 Conclusion: The BFG 8800 GTX Video Card obviously has the clear advantage in all tests, which is really no surprise. After all, it's about $400 more than the 2900XT Video Card. In some of the high resolution tests the 2900XT did score very well though. There's not a lot of games that are currently on the market that can challenge the 8800 GTX Video Card. So if speed is what you are after and you have the bucks, the 8800 GTX Video Card is the one to go for. If however you wish to save a few bucks go for the 2900XT Video Card. Of course the other option is to get two 2900XT Video Cards using a CrossFire capable motherboard. A 2900XT CrossFire setup will meet and in some cases outperform a single 8800 GTX Video Card. If you are considering building a new HTPC, I would stick with ATI based Video Card products. They are much better suited for multimedia applications with better HDMI support and compatible with more high definition formats. > ADDITIONAL INFO/COMMENTS IN THE FORUMS <
