Exterior:

Right away you can see that the Gigabyte iSolo 210 case has a very classy look. The case comes in three different colors; black, silver and Metallic Grey. Metallic Grey is the color we have today for review. After receiving this case, I must say that I would prefer this color over the other two. It has a very pleasing color (if grey scale is considered color) contrast. The iSolo case is a mid-tower case and can fit five 5.25” external drive bays along with two 3.5” drive bays.

At the front of the iSolo 210 case, you will see the seven external bays and that they all are made up of circular mesh. Behind these meshed bay covers are full sized filters for a dust free interior. Below the 3.5” drive bays are the two USB2.0 ports, power button, audio in and out along with a single Firewire port. Below the power button is a recessed area featuring a vertical brushed aluminum and a centered Gigabyte Chassis case badge.

At the edge of the front bezel, you will find that the edges have a very clean angle cut into them and this give a very sharp looking final touch to the bezel. On left and right sides of the bezel, top to bottom, there are air vents for fresh air intake into the included 120mm front intake fan. These are not filtered like the front bay covers, which in my opinion simple voids any attempt at filtration.

At the left side panel of the Gigabyte iSolo case, there is a very large, full sized window of circular mesh. If you have any lighting within the case, you will be able to see it shine through, and in a dark room, maybe even your components. This style of ventilation is very welcome with today’s hot graphics cards and accessories. For those that viewed the Silverstone SG03 case review will recognize the side panel design. The bottom left of the mesh window’s border includes an iSolo logo. I normally don’t like branding implemented into the design of a product, but this does help the case from falling into a square/box-ish feel.

At the back of the iSolo case, you have your standard PSU mount, I/O shield plate area and seven expansion slots. This case also features a 120mm exhaust fan with the option to mount 80 and 92mm fans. Above the expansion slots, the iSolo case features two rubber grommets that allow for a water cooling system’s tubes to access an external radiator. Gigabyte recommends their 3D Galaxy water cooling system, but you should be able to mount whatever H20 setup your heart desires.

The right side panel on the case does not feature anything but a recess to help in the removal of the panel. At the bottom of the case are four rubber feet. These have excellent anti-vibration properties and will not scratch the surface of your desktop. The feet also feature a silver banding that help keep the classy look all around.
