Packaging:
Tagan sent us the review sample in a standard brown shipping box. Within the shipping box was the retail Tagan ITZ 1300w PSU packaging. Unlike the previous series of TurboJet power supplies, the ITZ series does not feature the cool brown “PSU Briefcase”. I thought the case idea was pretty awesome and that the case was one more feature that helped Tagan stand out as a quality manufacturer. In all reality, it doesn’t affect the performance or value of a power supply, but as an extra perk, it was very sweet.

Within the retail packaging, the ITZ power supply was housed within a single box with all the accessories included in a second smaller box. A User’s Manual was also found within the external box.

Once all the packaging is out of the way, you have a very pretty blue Tagan ITZ 1300w PSU. There are a number of hardwired leads that have been grouped off by twist ties. Along with the power supply comes a number of additional accessories. Tagan includes a standard power cable, four mounting screws, two black plastic zip-ties, five Velcro cable ties and a rubber anti-vibration sleeve for the ITZ power supply. The Velcro ties and the rubber sleeve are not usual includes with a power supply and can make installation of a power supply a lot easier when you have these kinds of tools. Also included with the ITZ unit are two four-pin Molex to dual four-pin mini-Molex connectors. These are handy for those that use a 3.5” card reader and a LCD or fan controller unit. Additionally, Tagan includes a fairly large brushed aluminum case badge and four SATA to four-pin Molex power adapters.
