Overview: Ninja Plus Rev. B The Scythe Ninja Plus Rev. B CPU cooler is much like it’s smaller brother the Scythe Ninja Mini that we just looked at. Some key differences right away are that the cooler is much taller (about 50%) and that the copper heatpipes are grouped closer together like the Katana 2 cooler. The Ninja Plus also features the same machined aluminum fins atop the copper base as the Ninja Mini. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Just as the previous two coolers, the Ninja Plus has each copper heatpipe capped by hex-nut caps. Each aluminum cooling fin also features the same channels cut out of the corners mimicking the Ninja Mini. Again like the Ninja Mini, the Ninja Plus Rev. B has three copper heatpipes placed perpendicular to the second set of three copper heatpipes. This suggests the same cooling theory in fan placement as was stated with the Mini. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The Scythe Ninja Plus features the same copper base as the Katana 2 but without the bleaching that was saw once the protective film was removed. You can see by our example that the base isn’t as reflective as the Mini’s base, but will still satisfy most enthusiasts. ![]() Installation of the retention bracket was, like before, simply screwing down four small screws. Mounting of the fan was just like the Scythe Ninja Mini with the ran retention clips simply grabbing the mounting holes of the fan and being slid into the grooves of the Ninja’s aluminum fins. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
