The Acer AL2216W 22 inch LCD monitor comes in a fairly large shipping box. Within this box was four molded foam inserts surrounding the monitor. These inserts were very dense and offered plenty of protection; roughly 3-4 inches thick. The screen itself comes in a plastic bag to protect it from dust and scratches. In addition to the foam and plastic, the screen also comes with three pieces of protective film adhered to the front face of the monitor. To give you an idea of the size of this monitor, each of these sheets of film are about the size of an 8.5"x11" piece of paper.
