Introduction:

Last time we reviewed a Scythe product, we were reviewing the first cooling products from them, on our site, for more or less three years! This time around, we felt roughly three months was more appropriate. ;) Scythe has been pumping out some great new products lately and today we get to review one of these new offerings.

The Scythe Kama Wing memory cooler is designed to bring aftermarket cooling to the stock memory module market. These memory coolers are compatible with both single and double sided memory modules. Enough talking, let’s get to it!

Specifications:

Model Name: “KAMA WING SILVER”
Model #: SCKW-1000SL
Manufacturer: Scythe Co., Ltd. Japan
Dimensions: 125 x 39 x 10 mm (W x D x Thickness) *Thickness with extended fin portion is measured as 31mm
Weight: 25 g
Compatibility: SDRAM, DDR, DDR2, DDR3 *Ready for Single/Double Sided Memory
Material: Alminum

Features:

Original Designed with Angled Shape
- Original designed memory cooler with “angled” shape (80 degree) to increase the cooling area as well as to minimize the interference with the components installed on the motherboard.

Single and double-sided memory support - Compatible to single and double-sided memory with thermal sheets included! The Scythe Kama Wing comes in a blister package that was very easy to open. The back of the packaging contains the basic, much generalized, installation instructions. With all the pieces removed, you have four heat plates, four mounting clips, four thin pieces of heat tape and two thick pieces of heat tape.
