The Radiator:
The Danger Den Water Box Plus cooling kit comes with a Black Ice XtremeII radiator. This radiator features a high gloss, b lack finish and room for two 120mm fans to be attached on either side. This radiator is a two pass setup with the ports being on a single side. The water runs past thousands of little fins through flat piping for maximum heat dissipation. Each port can be threaded with different sized ends, but since this system is ½” based, that is what is included. Simply thread them down snug and get ready for action!

The included fans for this setup are Yate Loon D12SM-12 fans. These are rated at roughly 70CFM at an average 33 db. Two of these at that volume are noticeable, but not annoying. I would have liked to see some fans in the 20-30db range, but we also have a lot of water flow to cool, so it’s a balancing act. I will say that these two fans behind the radiator are louder than my Antec P190 enclosure’s fans on 'Low' setting and that the x1950Pro's cooling solution was the loudest fan in the system. These fans can be easily attached to the radiator via the screws provided with the Black Ice XtremeII radiator. In the image below, we have set the fans to push air out of the case through the radiator, but in testing we will try the opposite setup as well to see the difference in efficiency.
