The TDX CPU Block:

The Danger Den Water Box Plus water cooling kit comes with the high quality TDX copper CPU water block. This unit has a solid copper base with numerous heat dissipating pillars in the center for maximum heat transfer. While this block is meant for a single physical core processor, there are also multi-core versions available with additional pillars for better heat transfer over the larger die surface. These pillars reside directly beneath the water intake port at the center of the water block. Just to the side of the block is the outlet. The inlet and outlet thread through a thick acrylic cap which is sealed to the copper block via a black rubber ‘O’ ring. These are all held together with four screws.

The base of the TDX water block is protected by a couple pieces of thick white film which can easily be removed. With the base exposed, you will find an extremely smooth surface. This is not a perfect mirror/lapped finish, but in my books, right where it should be.
