Introduction:
The last few times we have had a Kingwin product on our test bench, it has usually been a power supply of some sort. The last review of the Kingwin ABT-800MA1S modular power supply proved to be a great product with a number of great features. This time around, we are going to mix it up a bit. Today we are reviewing one of their external storage solutions. The Z1 series of hard disk enclosures is targeted at the price conscious consumer that is looking for both eSATA and USB connectivity to a SATA hard drive.

The Kingwin Z1 series enclosures come in their retail packaging consisting of a thin cardboard box and plastic window. Within these packages you will find a drivers disc for older OS installations, a box of accessories, and the enclosure surrounded by plastic boxing. Included accessories include a small instructions booklet, a plastic chromed enclosure stand, installation screws, a small screw driver, power cord and power brick, an eSATA cable along with a USB cable.
