The Tuniq Tower 120 LBF cooler comes in a very unique shape. There are four wavy fin shapes on either side of the cooler’s fins. There are many aluminum fins from the top down but the count stops short of completely covering the included 120mm fan’s surface. This is at which point the cooler’s three copper heatpipes angle down to the all copper block. On the sides, you will find that each fin has been folded to keep each fin exactly the same distance apart like many other large towering coolers.
As was just mentioned, the fan is not completely covered by fins and you can see the bottom couple centimeters hovering above the block. When looking at the fan’s “feet” hanging in the air, you can see that the fan has been mounted within a cage of sorts. This cage can actually be pulled straight up out of the cooler as there is no mounts holding this fan within the fins except for gravity. This is important to keep in mind if you are planning on mounting this cooler within a tower type case where the cooler is suspended in the air horizontally by the retention clips. Another thing to point out is that there are no rubber grommets or mounts to help in reduction of vibration noise.
With the fan and cage fully removed you can see that each fin, while stamped out of the same piece of aluminum, act more like two sets of fins conjoined at the hips.
The fan cage features a top cap of the same shape as the fins with the wavy pattern stamped out along with holes for the tips of the heatpipes. The included 120mm Blue LED fan also comes with a variable speed rheostat attached to a PCI slot cover for easy placement.
