What to look for in a PSU?:
This section is more of a general guide on what to look for when selecting a Power Supply. Some of this may have been covered in a previous section.
The first is wattage. Determine how much wattage you are going to require by the amount of hardware you will be installing. Generally speaking, a medium to high end gaming rig would require a 500-700W PSU. If however, you are going hardcore & have a multiple video card setup with lots of other hardware, select a PSU that’s above 800 watts.
Second, it should be at or above 80% efficiency at typical load. The efficiency of this PSU is rated above 80% under typical load.
Third, it should meet the latest ATX and other current standards, environmental directives, over-voltage/under-voltage, and other protections. This PSU meets all the current standards.
Forth, I’d recommend getting a PSU that has APFC. APFC or Active Power Factor Correction is something that also assists the PSU in being more efficient and therefore stable under load. APFC basically reduces total harmonics, corrects input voltage, and it allows for a full input voltage range. Thankfully, this PSU has APFC.
Finally, get a PSU that has enough leads for your setup.
