What's Included:

What's included in the box is a wide assortment of bundled goodies. Most importantly one HIS HD3850 IceQ Turbo 512MB AGP Video Card is included, albeit this is the most important part and more about this card later.

In addition to the video card there is one Driver CD for easy driver installations. This CD may come in handy if you are unable to connect to the Internet. We do recommend that you download the latest drivers from the AMD/ATI or HIS websites to bypass any potential older driver compatibility issues.

The always respectable, often never used, multi language User Install Manual is also included to help guide people installing their video cards for the first time.

There is one DVI to VGA/D-sub Adapter included and is mandatory for any older VGA monitors to be compatible. Also one DVI to HDMI Adapter is included to complete the full HD upgrade experience. Next, one S-Video to Composite Adapter is added, again very nice to have. And I'm sure there are lots of people that will be buying these cards to turn their older AGP rigs into sweet HTPC's, thus making these accessories priceless.

Interestingly one Crossfire Bridge is included. Do note that there are no dual AGP systems for the Bridge to work. So this part could have been left out of the Bundle. However in some rare cases there are a few motherboards with chipsets that can support AGP and PCIe Crossfire.

In addition, my favorite part of the bundle is a HIS Multi-purpose Screw Driver Pen. This is one of the nicer goodies included that will be very helpful in our day-to-day computer environment. It comes with a Screw Driver, LED Light, Spirit Level and is definitely one of those must have gadgets.

It didn't take long for us to notice the PCIe 6-pin Adapter. Although to unlock the ATI Overdrive clock settings you will need to have a PCIe 8-pin 2.0 power connector in the form of a modern PSU (6 + 2 pin) or Adapter. For whatever reason 8-pin adapters are often not handed out. So you may need to either upgrade your current power supply with PCIe 2.0 support or buy an 8-pin adapter to add the additional two ground pins needed. Your current PCIe 6-pin will work in the 8-pin slot fortunately. And this is not a HIS problem, but rather a required specification of new video cards.
