Closing Thoughts:

The HIS HD3850 IceQ Turbo 512MB AGP Video Card comes action packed with powerful technology that will not let you down! And as much as we love a good hardware war, it's unfortunate that Nvidia is no longer building highend AGP cards for us to compare these results. With that said the question must be asked, is this the end of AGP? Fortunately for us amazing companies like HIS and ATI continue a strong fight. So the bottom line is, if you currently own a highend AGP system and plan to keep it around a while longer, then we see absolutely no reason why not to buy one of these fantastic cards.

I'm happy to state that we had absolutely no major issues installing this product. Nor have we had any problems playing any games or benchmarks. We simply cleaned the system of old drivers, inserted the new hardware and installed the latest drivers. Upgrading does not get any easier than that. There was only the one small issue concerning the 8 pin power connection needed for overclocking. You can still use the 6 pin power connections, so it really does not matter much unless you want that extra 1 FPS or 3dMark2003 scores.

Looking back on the test results we can clearly see that overclocking the video card doesn't do much in games because of the CPU and memory speed limitations. The biggest gains we have seen are from overclocking the processor and that is where you should focus the most for tweaking extra game performance. While not everyone cares about the most performance or overclocking, I'll bet some do and if that's the case maybe upgrading the whole system is something to calculate. Nevertheless, you will receive a huge performance boost with this video card no matter what your system can muster up. Games that were once unplayable before with our older cards now run very smooth with the HIS HD3850 IceQ Turbo 512MB AGP Video Card. And if the performance alone was not awesome enough, than at least you will gain extended years of compatibility for the present and near future.

So what are you waiting for? Go out and get your own!
