A closer look:
Like the majority of new power supplies on the market,
this one also meets environmentally-friendlier power
standards. Ultra power supplies are built in an ISO
certified facility and have EMC/EMI compliance with CE and
FCC and has safety approval by CE, CB, UL and TUV.

Now, let's get a size measurement; 18cm(L) x 15cm(W) x
8.6cm(H). Please note that power supplies have to meet the
ATX standard. This means that the height is usually the
same, although the length and width can vary. This power
supply has a thick aluminum casing with a matte black paint
finish and comes with one massive 135mm fan. The overall
look is basic, nothing really fancy here like a modular
design or windows. Although, that brushed aluminum really
gives it a solid look and feel. I like it! Also, Ultra
Products informed me that they did up a sample with black
FlexForce cables and it looked awesome with the black
aluminum. They may be offering this as an option.

Some PSU
fan grills are mounted on the outside of the power supply
and this could pose a problem with some cases. Thankfully
this PSU fan grill is recessed. This
135mm fan offers more than
enough air circulation and will keep the inside of the
power supply cool. Many PSUs have 80mm/92mm/120mm fan(s), but
this is one of the first to integrate a 135mm fan. What this
fan offers is the means of pushing a lot of air quietly. When the power supply is inside the case it's virtually
silent, and that's great since I personally dislike a power
supply that has noisy fan(s). Added cooling is provided by
the thick aluminum casing. This does increase the weight,
compared to a thin steel casing found on most power supplies.

Also,
there are plenty of ventilation holes in this PSU to assist
with cooling. This is an auto switching power supply so
there is no need to adjust the voltage manually, since
115/230 is switched automatically.

This power supply has plenty of leads and they are all
FlexForce cables.
Also, as the
name suggests, the cables are super flexible, which allows you to
bend them around just about anything. If you like to hide
cables behind the motherboard tray or neatly tuck them out
of sight, these are perfect for that. Not only are they
functional, they also look brilliant covered in a sleek
looking titanium Ultra Violet (UV) reactive finish.

Leads/Adapters:
1- 24(20) pin Main Motherboard Lead
1- 4 Pin ATX 12V Motherboard Lead
1- 8 Pin EPS Connector
2- 6 Pin Video Card Lead (for PCI-E Video Card)
2- 4 Pin FD Lead (for Floppy drives)
8- 4 Pin Acc Lead (for HD, CD, DVD, etc)
4- SATA Power Lead

One big plus with this power supply is its dual 6 pin PCI-E
Video Cards leads. This means two video cards can be
connected for an NVIDIA
SLI or
ATI CrossFire setup. Please note, this PSU is officially
certified SLI. For your average consumer, dual 6 pin leads
are not that big of a deal. However, for a serious gamer it
most certainly is.
