A closer look:
The first thing you will notice about this memory is the
cool aluminum heatspreader. Crucial redesigned their heatspreaders a while back
and I really like the sleek new look. With a brushed aluminum edging and a red
center, these heatspreaders are really pleasing to the eye. Did I mention, they are red ;) As well, the PSB
(Printed Circuit Board) is red. Also note, the standard Crucial "Ballistix
Tracer" branding. If you have a red PC theme this memory would be a perfect addition!

Each modular has an information sticker indicating the
memory's model number, part number, and batch number.

These modules also come with red LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) which makes them very
unique. There are two rows of LEDs, eight "chasing" red LEDs
in each row, for a total of
16 LEDs per module.

The LEDs move in a random
pattern based on memory usage. So how does this work? A circuit relays bus
activity to the LEDs which allows them to reflect memory usage. Additionally,
there are eight ground effects LEDs per module that emit a continuous glow. This is by far one of the coolest memory effects out there,
even the ladies like it ;)
