"Some of the largest internet service providers in the world have vowed to block access to child pornography.
Verizon, Sprint and Time Warner Cable formed an agreement with New York state to restrict websites and online discussion groups featuring child pornography.
"The pervasiveness of child pornography on the internet is horrific and it needs to be stopped," New York state attorney general Andrew Cuomo said in a statement.
"We are attacking this problem by working with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to ensure they do not play host to this immoral business," he said, adding that the agreement "should serve as a model for the entire industry."" ~news.com.au
