"There have been complaints that after a purchase of a complete liquid cooling system, many feel that there are still things lacking. For example, users cannot see the coolant level or the temperature of the coolant within the system, or the pump is not strong enough. Thermaltake Technology has once again stood out from the crowd and is now offering solutions for the consumers. In the second quarter of 2006, Thermaltake presents an upgrade kit that displays the coolant level, temperature, and a strong pump – the AquaBay M5." ~thermaltake.com

Following the tradition of the AquaBay series, the AquaBay M5 mounts in a 5.25” drive bay as well. The usage of excess 5.25” drive bays effectively saves room within the computer system and beautifies the front look of the system. Through the front bezel mounting nature of the AquaBay M5, the user would be able to read the temperature and water level easily.

The built-in coolant temperature sensor can allow the user to detect temperature anywhere in the liquid cooling system. If the temperature is higher than the preset alarm temperature, the front display will turn from blue to red. If the coolant is lower than the “low” mark on the reservoir, the front LCD display will turn from blue to red as well. When the display turns red, an audio alarm goes off as well. In order to shut off the alarm, the user would need to press the “reset” button. However, if the problem is not remedied within 10 minutes, the alarm will go off again.

Last but not least, the AquaBay M5 includes a high-performance P500 water pump which can push up to 500 liters per hour. It does not matter how big the computer chassis is or how far the liquid cooling system routes, the P500 pump will be able to push the liquid through the whole system easily and efficiently. The P500 pump is rated at only 16dB and is guaranteed to improve the performance of the liquid cooling system. On the other hand, the 350cc high-capacity reservoir can be attached in the existing liquid cooling system. Not only does it greatly contribute to the total capacity of the system, it also eliminates the need to keep refilling every so often. The AquaBay M5 is usable with most1/4” and 3/8” inner diameter tubing liquid cooling systems. According to the needs of the users, they can use any type of connection they would like. Thermaltake’s considerate design and high compatibility once again demonstrates the reason why Thermaltake is taking the lead of the liquid cooling systems market.
