So what does all this mean? Well, it basically means that
this hardware firewall is the first line of defense against
hackers and network attacks. A network firewall is simply a
barrier against any malicious network attacks from hackers.
Most everyone has heard of firewalls, but what's the between
the difference a software and hardware firewall? A software
firewall is a software program that gets installed on your
PC to prevent network attacks. Hardware firewalls are
commonly found in routers and devices like the AlphaShield.
Both software and hardware firewall setups can be a little
daunting to the average user.
That's especially true for some hardware firewalls which are
in the latest routers. This is certainly not the case with
the AlphaShield, and it only takes about one minute. So now
that we know what a firewall is, let's get into the
technical specifications implemented in this product to keep
the bad guys out.
This hardware firewall will make you completely invisible on
the Internet. It achieves this with the IP (Internet
Protocol) Static technology. This means that the only person
that can see you is the person you are communicating with in
real-time. Remember, real-time is key here. This means that
while your IP address is required to open sites and the
like, your IP address is not exposed. It will never be
detected by any scanning tools and would not respond to any
PING request. This is a tool hackers rely on. They scan the
internet with these tools to detect vulnerable systems. Once
one is detected, they can easily gain access. So if they
can't detect your IP address, you are in essence invisible.
This other key technology is RPA or Real-time Packet
Authorization. This technology blocks all your computer's
ports to the outside world so no one can get in. It's smart enough to allow you to use the internet, but when
you are not it blocks all incoming traffic. It does this
completely automatically. RPA also eliminates the need for
any software or upgrades.
One other impressive feature most of us will be grateful for
is stopping most annoying third party pop-up ads.
Below is a diagram which illustrates how versatile this
product is. It can be used at the home or office, with or
without a wired
or wireless router.
