Page 7 of 7 Conclusion:
An external power supply unit is something that you
don't see every day.
So what is the use of a power supply that
sits outside the case? Doesn't an internal power supply make more sense? In most
instances it does, but being outside the case has its advantages. For one, it
doesn't occupy space inside the case like internal power supplies. This is
fantastic, especially with compact mid-tower cases. Internal power also increases
case temperature but not so with external power supplies. XG Magnum 600W
External Power Supply packs 600 watts of juice and has two PCI-E leads for
NVIDIA SLI or ATI Crossfire setups. What's a bit of a mystery is the lack of
SATA leads, they only include two. So, an overall excellent product that's well
built, looks great, and supplies stable power. It even comes with an LCD showing
temperature, wattage, and voltage. One very unique product!
