A closer look:
These mice are very easy to look at. Dark red with black lines really makes
these mice stand out. At first glance, both of these mice are almost identical with the exception of dpi, thumb grip,
and base. The important difference is the XG Lazer 2500 mouse is 2,500 dpi and
the XG Optical 2000 is 2,000 dpi. Oh, and the Lazer 2500 mouse has a gold USB
connector.

The more buttons the better, and these mice have 5 buttons and a scroll
wheel each. There are two buttons on the left of each side, two at the top, and the scroll wheel
which also doubles as a button.

Also, there is a small button just above the scroll wheel. This button is used
to switch between the different dpi levels. If you remember from the
specification, the Lazer 2500 has 6 dpi levels
(600, 800, 1200, 1600, 2000, & 2500)
and the Optical 2000 has 5
(600, 800, 1200, 1600, & 2000).
Also, each dpi level corresponds to a different color. So when the dpi level
button is pressed, the scroll wheel will change color. This color is
representation to the dpi level selected. I really like this feature because at
a glance you know which dpi level you are in.

Before I conclude let's have a closer look at each mouse.
