Conclusion:

Cooler Master has always created great products and with this latest Hyper TX cooler, they don’t let us down. The Hyper TX has a number of great features that you don’t normally find on other coolers. The unique plastic shroud is something new that we haven’t seen before. The ability to cool the CPU and then also help out with system cooling is a big plus. The easy installation is also a great bonus. Many of today’s “radiator designed” coolers have mounting systems that require you to remove the entire motherboard. I can tell you, as a reviewer, this can get very irritating real fast. Most users will not care about this as few people consistently change out their coolers. Then again, with only a three degree difference from idle to load at an already low 30°C; how would want to swap out this cooler!?

I would have liked to have seen Cooler Master take the Hyper TX’s retention arm and secure it to prevent it from being mounted off center. This could be considered a large over look by Cooler Master, but then again, most people probably do not have the bigger hands that I do. I would have also like to have seen Cooler Master include a variable speed fan with control, but then again, the stock fan does pretty good job by itself. I did notice, after a week of use, that there is a slight vibraton coming from the cooler. I don't know if this maybe has something to do with an off center hub dome on the fan, or if it is something to do with an off balance fan fin. I am sure this is only the case with my fan as I have not been able to find any body else with this problem. Over all, the Cooler Master Hyper TX cooler is a Kickass product and is recommended to anybody looking for a silent cooling solution for their new rigs. Our thanks go out to Cooler Master for supplying the Hyper TX for review.
