As you can see, the Crucial Ballistix modules come in a bright yellow/orange/gold color. These are made of aluminum and help keep the modules cool during operation.
On the back side of the modules you will find two stickers. One contains the model number and the other displays the batch and part numbers. Not that no where on the modules is displayed the speed, CAS, or any other information. If you don't know or do not have the packaging, you are left to find all that information by searching Crucial's web site.
The heat spreaders are held on two fold; initially by heat tape, then secondly by two steel clips. The heat spreaders are removable by simply removing the clips and then the spreaders. The heat tape used is very strong and we did not attempt to pry it off.
