Packaging:
ECS shipped the KA3 MVP in a standard brown shipping box with Styrofoam packing peanuts securing the motherboards retail box.

Once removed, the ECS retail packaging kind of threw me back for a moment! I am so used to ECS motherboard boxes being just the normal cardboard with cheesy graphics on the top. This is a beautiful retail box and was impressed with the quality of production here. The box was also had quite a bit more depth than other motherboard boxes I have received in the past. This is due to the contents of the box. ECS has loaded the KA3 MVP with a lot of extras, but that is for later…

One of the first things that you realize when you open up the motherboard’s container is that you are going to have to dig through all the extra stuff that ECS has provided, just to get to the motherboard!
Contents:
Starting at the top, going clockwise, you will find in the KA3 MVP’s packaging the ECS KA3 MVP CrossFire Xpress 3200 Motherboard, the User’s Manual, the Driver and Software Applications discs, a USB 2.0 and Firewire Expansion port, an Ethernet cable, four SATA cables, a Floppy Drive cable, the BIOS TopHat with Manual, a 40 and 80 conductor ATA cable, optional 3.5” USB/Firewire cage with screws, Game Port expansion, Female Four Pin Molex to two SATA Power leads, External SATA expansion and lastly the I/O shield. Phew, that was a lot!
