Conclusion:

ECS has come up with an awesome motherboard packed with lots of extras. ATI’s newest chipset shows that they are headed in the right direction and that performance does not have to be heavy on the wallet. ECS’s reputation for providing decent products at a decent price has just been bumped up a notch to provided great products to enthusiast builders at a great price. As of this writing the ECS KA3 MVP motherboard is going for $125 USD at Newegg and there is even a twenty dollar mail in rebate making it just over $100! The nVidia 590 counterparts start at roughly $160. This motherboard is one of the best bang for your buck options out there.

With a motherboard like this, you expect great performance and features. With features of plenty and performance that gives the chipset competition a run for their money, there are still a few things that could use improvement. To satisfy the enthusiast market fully, I would like to see a color constant board with out the crazy color wheel of components. Also an option to turn on or off the Doctor LEDs would be nice. During testing, I also found that the 40mm fan, located at the I/O cluster, sometimes likes to make a high pitched winning sound. This more than likely is an individual account, but possible that the included fans could due with an upgrade. Over all, the ECS KA3 MVP has enough features to keep you entertained and the performance to rock your world and is rated Kickass!
