The included User's Guide is a simple black and white instruction sheet with multiple different languages per step. I have found that this can be confusing to some users and I usually prefer that each language have it's own section. Not too much of a deal and nothing that will affect the outcome of this cooler.
The included retention arm and bracket for the AMD socket comes in two pieces. In the years past, this would have been built into the cooler requiring two different coolers for AMD and Intel. With the separate pieces, the option of different sockets with one cooler becomes available. Cooler Master has included this AMD retention bracket that is compatible with 754, 939, 940, AM2 and F sockets.
The second retention system is for the Intel LGA775 sockets. This system is a bit more involved when installing and the User's Guide has clear instructions on how you will need to install the Eclipse cooler on your Intel setup. One piece of included hardware is a hex nut to screw driver adapter. This aids in the tightening of the Intel retention system without the use of pliers. Cooler Master includes a tube of thermal interface, but as we have seen in past reviews, this compound does not spread well.
