Around the Viper:

Out of it's wrapper the case does not decrease in size much! This case is a bit longer than our Ultra Aluminus and a tad shorter. The case if a very eye catching red and I would not be surprised if it was a bit too bright for some. None the less, I really was attracted to choice of red here. The paint has a very nice gloss to it and on the side panels, if you look very close (too close for the camera), you can see a slight brushing effect. Kind of like you would see with a brushed aluminum cases like the SilverStone TJ-09 or LC18.

From the front, you can see the unique Viper design of this case. Bring this to a LAN and you will definitely be getting people looking! The top half of the case is a smooth plastic door showcasing silver fang-like stripes and a Viper logo crest. It even looks nicer in person!

On the left side, you can see there is a window. This is made of recessed smoked Plexiglas instead of the normal clear Plexiglas and does have a removable plastic film to protect it during shipping. This adds a very nice touch I think along with the fact that it is not the standard shape. Very unique. You can also see a set of five chrome vents. These are not vented themselves, but rather they have many small holes drilled through them. These holes are in the shape of an 80mm fan.

Around back you can see that the Viper 2 case accommodates the standard ATX design of most cases. Starting at the top, you have the mount for a power supply unit, the exhaust fan and I/O area, then the standard seven expansion bays. The exhaust fan grill is made of hex shaped holes stamped out of the chassis. This can accommodate 80mm, 92mm, and 120mm fans.

With the door open, you can see that it swings from right to left. With the window on the left, I just can't figure out why manufacturers keep making the doors swing right to left. This needs to be corrected industry wide in my own opinion. On the right side panel, you can see the same chrome vents at the upper back. The difference? This side does not have the holes drilled through for ventilation.
