Packaging and Contents:

The SilverStone Nitrogen NT05 cooler comes packed in a retail box. This box felt really solid and seemed pretty heavy for a small box. Yes there is a cooler inside, but still; it seemed like it was a solid piece of dense foam or something. The exterior of the box shows you all the specs of the unit and lets you see the fan from the front.

Once opened, you can see that, in fact, the box really was hiding a solid block of dense foam! I honestly liked seeing this as this is sure to protect the NT05 from any shipping tumbles it might take. Not all coolers can obviously use this approach with all the crazy shapes of coolers these days (like the Cooler Master Eclipse cooler).

For such a small package, there are a lot of items packed into this little retail box! Included you have the User's Manuals, the NT05 cooler and fan, a piece of wax paper with some plastic sticker shims adhered, two AM2 mounting brackets, four spring loading mounting pins, four long compression springs, two short compression springs, a long hex key for LGA mounting, a LGA back plate, and finally a PCI-Slot loading rheostat for controlling fan speed. Also included with the package is a tube of SilverStone labeled Silver Thermal Paste (I am still scratching my head on how this missed the photo shoot).
