A closer look:

This product comes in a few different sizes: 128MB, 256MB, 512MB, 1GB, and 2GB. Currently there is no 4GB version which is a little disappointing considering other companies already have 4GB models available. I will be looking at the 1GB version. There are many flash drives on the market and most are USB2 and very compact. So when deciding which one to get there are lots to choose from. Please note, this drive is
USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 compatible.

This high-speed USB2 flash drive is light and small as well. Measuring a tiny
68mm (L) (with protective cap on) x 7mm (H) x 20mm (W). Thankfully it's width doesn't interfere with other USB devices in an adjacent port.

The outside of the drive is plastic and it comes in a silver color. The plastic feels a little cheap. Some other flash drives on the market have a rubber or aluminum outside. The Crucial company logo is on one side along with the flash drive storage size. The other side has the product name and USB2 shown. I believe that indicating the storage size in plain sight is not a good thing. For theft reasons, indicating storage size out of sight would be better. Let's face it, having a 2GB or larger flash drive hanging around your neck might draw unwanted attention. At the left there's a protective cap which removes easily but is held securely enough into place. In the center there's a red activity LED which flashes when the drive is being accessed. At the right there's a place to mount the included lanyard.
