Article Index #641 - Vantec NexStar 3 3.5" HDD Enclosure Page 2: Packaging Page 3: Specs Page 4: Closer Look Page 5: Installation Page 6: Results Page 7: Conclusion Page 6 of 7 Results: For testing the Vantec NexStar 3 External 3.5" HDD Enclosure (eSATA/USB2) I used the following test setup:   Motherboard: DFI UT nForce4 SLI DR Motherboard CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3000+ @ 2.7GHz Processor PSU: SilverStone ST60F Modular SLI Power Supply Video Cards: 2 x BFG 7800 GT Video Cards Hard Drives: 2 Western Digital Raptor 74GB HDDs (RAID0) & 2x Maxtor DiamondMax 10 SATA/150 300GB 7200RPM Drive: Plextor PX-712A DVD-R/RW Drive Memory: Corsair XMS-4000PT DDR500 2GB Memory Sound Card: Creative Audigy 2 ZS Sound Card Please note a Maxtor DiamondMax 10 SATA/150 300GB 7200RPM was used when testing this enclosure. The following benchmarks were using the eSATA connection, not USB2. Results will vary depending on which SATA Hard Drive is used. << Prev - Next >>
