Page 6 of 6 Conclusion: One of the first things you will probably notice is the low wattage of this Power Supply. Well, don't let that fool you. While it's not going to give the kind of power an efficient 500W or larger PSU would, it does provide 350 watts of very high quality power. Being only 350 watts does have it's advantages though. It means that with a low amount of efficient power you can provide a silent PSU which is still Active PFC. You would be much better off with this product than a generic 600W power supply. Most generic power supplies are not very efficient, not Active PFC, and built using low end components. I always recommend for people to stay clear of generic Power Supplies. Remember, a PSU is a vital part of any computer system and means your PC will remain stable in all conditions. So is 350 watts enough power for today's computer systems? For your average computer user, absolutely. For the hardcore gamers, no. Overall though, this is a great product and one that would be excellent for a Small Form Factor (SFF) PC or a Home Theatre PC (HTPC). I should also mention, Nexus has other higher wattage quiet high end PSU solutions. Finally, check out Stop The Noise if you require quiet PC solutions. Pros: - Very efficient high quality power - Active PFC - Silent up to 30c - All cables are sleeved Cons: - Low wattage - No modular leads - Only one PCI-E lead (Not SLI certified) |
