Conclusion:
The Spire SP-600W Rocketeer VI SLI Series Power Supply
has many of the features most people like to see. First
of all, there lots of juice to power most current computer systems. Second,
the modular design is great and it comes
with plenty of the shielded leads. Third, it also has dual PCI-E Video Cards leads which is excellent for an SLI gaming
setup. These are three of the major features most look for
in today's power supplies. Additionally, the black mirror
paint gives it a great look. Overall, this is an excellent
product except for the possible fire hazard! Please read on.
Pros:
-
Lots of wattage
- Modular design
- Dual PCI-E Video Card Leads
Cons:
- Cables are very stiff
- Not Active PFC for North American market
- Not officially NVIDIA SLI certified
- Loose piece of plastic inside the PSU*
- SATA Leads may break
*Below is an official statement from Spire
regarding the plastic part coming off on the inside of the
PSU. It's excellent to see that they have found the problem
and are addressing it.

To Whom It May Concern:
After extensive testing and part vender review we found that
the adhesive material used to glue the label was easy to dry
up over time and was not very strong on plastic material.
The glues were used on few initial lots of product and
shipped due to order demand. We changed to self taping
screws on all lots afterwards. Your sample must be among the
initial orders.
Please feel free to contact me should you have any
questions.
