Audio System:
Picking out an audio system and/or headset is the next decision to make. When
looking into an audio system, I would personally recommend selecting home audio
equipment. This will result in the best sound quality by far and it's what I
have myself. Select a receiver or amp capable of 5.1 or 7.1-channel audio and
build the audio system around that, selecting speakers and subwoofer that best
suits your needs and budget. Of course this is the most expensive option, but it
will rock the house down.
DANGER: This powerful audio setup has the potential of getting you in serious
trouble with the neighbors and/or your significant other. Now you know why I
posted a user license agreement at the beginning of this guide. Seriously,
respect others and don't kill your hearing, it does come in handy ;)
The other option is an all-in-one 5.1 and 7.1 audio system. I'd recommend the
Creative Gigaworks S750 7.1 or
Logitech Z-5500 Digital 5.1 or the
Altec Lansing FX5051
If you are going with a headset, select one that fits your budget and is
comfortable to wear for extended periods. This is a requirement if you are
planning on attending LAN parties or if you don’t want to disturb others. So
it’s something I would recommend having on hand.
I’m going with the
SteelSeries SteelSound 5H v2 Headset
