Conclusion:

After using this monitor for the last couple weeks, I can say that I have not had any problems with it. There were a couple of times where I thought I had dead or stuck pixels, but rapid color changes eventually took those away. Also using the VGA connection, I noticed a bit of grainy signal when all black. This went away when using the DVI connection.

Over all, I have always like HP’s products when it came to business products. I currently have a HP L1906 LCD connected to a HP box and haven’t had any issues for the year or so I have used it. The W19E LCD screen is currently discontinued but can still be ordered from Geeks.com for only $179.99.

This product has a lot of value for the buck. The screen is clear and crisp. I am a bit wary on the 5ms response time classification, but do note that I never did see any ghosting during desktop activities, DVD playback or gaming. Text is clear and easy to read. Another nice thing is that the screen does not require any drivers, like my old Viewsonic CRT, to achieve the best picture.

I would have liked to seen a weighted base, though this is offset by the lack of vertical adjustment to through it off balance. A bit more adjustment on the tilt would have also been welcome. Overall this is a great product at a great price. Grab them while you can, they sell fast! Our thanks goes out to Geeks.com for their continued support of 3dGameMan.com.
