A closer look:
The first thing you will notice about this memory is the
cool aluminum heatspreader. Crucial has recently redesigned their heatspreaders
and I really like the sleek new look. With a brushed aluminum edging and a black
center, these heatspreaders are really pleasing to the eye. As well, the PSB
(Printed Circuit Board) is black which really sets it off. Also note, the standard Crucial "Ballistix
Tracer" branding.

Each modular has an information sticker indicating the
memory's model number, part number, and batch number.

These modules also come with LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) which makes them very
unique. There are two rows of LEDs, eight "chasing" red and green LEDs
in each row, for a total of
16 LEDs per module.

In the video below you can see how these LEDs move. They move in a random
pattern based on memory usage. So how does this work? A circuit relays bus
activity to the LEDs which allows them to reflect memory usage. Additionally,
there are eight ground effects LEDs per module that emit a continuous glow. This is by far one of the coolest memory effects out there,
even the ladies like it ;)
