Introduction:
CoolIT Systems has a number of great water cooling products out and last time around, we reviewed the CoolIT RamFan. We found great build qualities and decent performance. Today we are looking at yet another auxiliary cooling device from CoolIT Systems. CoolIT offers the RamFan for memory cooling along with what we are reviewing today, the PCI Cooling Booster. Essentially it is a fan to go over your PCI slot expansion bays.
Some might think this is pointless as most components, like video cards, have fans on them. If using water cooling, you are probably trying to have a more silent cooling solution for your computing system. Many users choose a passive or low RPM cooling solution for their PCI components. With the lack of air flow from no CPU fan, fresh air cannot be delivered to PCI components; effectively causing their temperature to rise. The CoolIT PCI Cooling Booster is there to provide fresh cool air to these expansion areas. Let’s take a look!
