Installation:
Installation of the CoolIT PCI Cooling Booster is pretty straight forward. You simply remove the thumb screws from the Cooling Booster along with the screws from the first and seventh PCI expansion bay. You use a single thumb screw from the PCI Cooling Booster to replace the original screws in these bays. You then line up the PCI Cooling Booster’s mounting holes and use the remaining two screws to affix the cooler to the expansion bays. I found that the cooler, along with a second test sample, did not quite line up just perfectly. I do not know if this is due to the cool temperatures and the aluminum shrunk, but a bit of convincing and the cooler lined up perfectly for installation.
   
For testing of the CoolIT Systems’ PCI Cooling Booster, we used the following hardware:
Enclosure: Cooler Master Stacker STC-T01 (Noctua NF-S12 fans intake/exhaust)
Power Supply: Ultra
X-Connect X2 550watt
Processor: AMD 3800+ X2 (Socket AM2)
Motherboard: ECS
KA3 MVP
Memory: Crucial
Ballistix 2gig (2 x 1gig) DDR2 PC2-6400
Video: 2 x x1600Pro 256mb DDR2 in Crossfire
Storage: Seagate 7200.10 320 GB SATA2, 7200.9 500 GB SATA2
Optical: Plextor PX-740UF PATA
