Hands on:
Before I even turned this LCD on, I feared it would have
dead pixels. Years ago, so many dead pixels were supposed to
be tolerated and many LCD companies/reseller would not
replace the LCD. Having a display with dead pixels is in my
opinion utterly unacceptable. Not only do you feel like you
got ripped off, but it's incredible distracting.
Well, I glad that there were no dead pixels on this display.
I can't tell ya what a relief this was.
Using the HDMI to DVI cable, I connected this monitor to
the video card, attached the power cable and powered the unit
on. When installing any new display remember to turn off your computer
system. This way the operating system will recognized the monitor
correctly and install the appropriate drivers. After
turning it on the
first thing I had to do was select the HDMI input. When
booted into windows I selected the 1920x1200 resolution.
This will ensure you are getting the most out of the
display. Unlike many other displays in the category, it
doesn't have any USB port or Picture-in-Picture (PIP).
This display produces a bright, sharp, clear image, but I
found it hard to get the color and brightness correct. I
spent a lot of time adjusting the contrast and brightness,
as well as the Video Card color properties to get the color
the way I wanted. To be honest, this was a little
disappointing from such a quality brand name.

With a viewing angel of 176
degrees on the horizontal and vertical, it's viewable from
almost any angle.

The text quality was excellent as you can see from the
images below. Since many of us probably spend most of our
free time browsing 3dGameMan, it's a good thing ;)

A word on gaming. I played FEAR, Call of Duty 2, STALKER and
a few other games on this display and was disappointed.
There was a little ghosting which is something no gamer
wants to hear. I found this to be odd, since this display
has a 8ms grey-to-grey response time. The ghosting isn't
extreme, but it is noticeable, especially if you have a
sharp eye.
