A Closer Look:

As mentioned before, the AluBox TFX is both USB2.0 and eSATA capable. This allows for a tremendous amount of flexibility. A.C. Ryan includes both a USB and an eSATA cable for use with your computing system.

The unit we received included a European style power cord. This obviously will not work for me as I am located in the USA. A simple email to A.C. Ryan resulted in a quick replacement of the appropriate type. Turned out to be a simple miscommunication and this wouldn’t be expected to a standard customer. The included SATA power adapter is for use internally when using a SATA drive that does not feature a four pin Molex power connector. Including this outside of the enclosure provides more room inside the enclosure.

The included power brick has a four pin power connection providing both a 5+ volt and a 12+ volt, both at 2 amps.

The User’s Manual is printed on high quality paper, thick enough to withstand the rigorous torture of your desk drawer. Full color pictures and clear and precise instructions help you get your new TFX setup correctly.

A.C. Ryan includes a clear plastic base for the TFX using so that you can use it in a vertical fashion. This helps in creating a smaller footprint on your desktop. The base is easily slipped over the TFX unit and has four rubber feet along the bottom to help in anti-vibration along with preventing scratching of the surface.
