Assembly: The assembly instructions for the Sunbeam Acrylic UFO Case are pretty basic. As a matter of fact they are printed out on 8.5”x11” sheets of copy paper with instructions on the front and back. These instructions were fairly easy to follow but were kind of disappointing. Also, just a hint for those looking at getting this case, do a read through of the instructions as you will want to be ready for some steps that would be easier with a second pair of hands. The first step of the assembly is the bottom panel. The plate has four brackets on each corner. These are not in the same direction and server a purpose of creating a stronger structure. The brackets get attached to the panel by thumb-like screws. These screws are individually packaged and are kind of annoying but they serve their purpose well. ![]() ![]() The next step is assembling the back panel where the I/O plate attaches. Below the Sunbeam I/O plate is where the PSU attaches and located on the other side is an access panel to get to the 5.25” drive bays. You will notice that the I/O plate is mounted flush to the inside of the acrylic panel. This allows for easy access to the retention screws for your expansion cards. ![]() ![]() The third step is to assemble the motherboard tray and all of the motherboard stand-offs. Once you have this, you can place the bottom panel, front panel, motherboard tray and 5.25” walls together. This is one of the moments where you will want an extra set of hands to hold the panels together while you place the screws in place. If you let go, they fall apart. Once you have this done… well that is where the instructions stopped. That’s right. The directions end here. It is like it was missing pages. Like was mentioned about the instructions being made of just copied sheets, I am sure that the last pages were stolen by the manual goblins at the factory (darn pests). ![]() ![]() All kidding aside, the rest is fairly simple to figure out. All you do is place the panels on the sides and attach them with screws. Also remember to attach the included four soft rubber feet to the case. ![]() Once all assembled this is you magnificent creation: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
