The XCLIO 3060 Plus case is surely a great looker in the dark. The bright Blue LEDs light up the entire side, back and front of the case. With the side fan turned off, there really isn’t much light other than the front LEDs. This would have been awesome to have the LEDs’ power selectable so that the light could be turned off without sacrificing the cooling efforts.
Overall, I am kind of torn with this case. The looks are ok but looks like many other cases out there (excluding the side fan). The included drive cover and the fold down front I/O is nice and you have a lot of cooling options available to you. I would have liked to have seen a mesh used for the fan grills instead of the stamped out holes along with the inclusion of the fans. At a sixty dollar price point, I would assume at least the exhaust fan would be included. Perhaps XCLIO thinks the 360mm fan is sufficient cooling for today’s hardware. With the fan on by itself, I was not really impressed with the airflow. I believe this is due to the fan blade design. It is too relaxed and needs to be at a more aggressive angle. The noise level of the fan would increase, but cooling would be increased. All in all the 3060 Plus case is a decent case and, besides the huge fan on the side, pretty basic. This case would be recommended to those looking for something a little bit different without a very radical face life. I would like to thank XCLIO for sending this sample for review and their support of 3dGameMan.com.
