Hah, good image. Everything looks and runs great. No complaints on my end. I haven't really tried the image uploads but I assume that it works by just linking from your favorite photo hosting website?
Looks good but there is place for improvement. I really think that the bar with the user name, date and time when comment was added is too thick. Also, maybe you should make a minimum length to the comment page so even if there is one comment only it is at a certain height.
That bar has a lot more use than just holding the avatars. All that empty space is going to be a hub of activity (in a tasteful way). :) Also, any shorter and we'd have to bring the size of the avatar even smaller, defeating their purpose!
Maybe I'm alone in this, but will that silly triangle under the avatar be removed in the comment bar? It serves no functional purpose, and leaves less space for the avatar IMO.
I like the triangle, it makes the post feel like the avatar is talking in a thought bubble.
I don't like the triangle-I think it detracts from the sleak and uniform look of the page
Odd, everybody I've talked to says they think it adds to the sleekness of the page... It's also an identifier to firmly implant the idea that the individual is the one saying it... ah the beauty of subliminal messaging!
Sorry folks the Triforce will stay, next problem please. ![]()
P.S. Zach, did you get my error image?
So what about making a minimum length to the page?... of about 3 one line posts...
And by the way I like the triangle. But the bar is still very strange to me. It's big but it has no space for a full avatar. I know probably in the head of the developer it all ready is figured out how everything is going to be looking, but maybe you should bring a fresh mind to the table and make some new designs.
Oh and btw when posting a new topic the "post" button is still save-
Thx for changing the reply button though to post- it makes a lot more sense
Zach might have burned out after that last rush. Got to give him some breathing room before we start adding new problems to fix..lol
No offence... but seriously rod, this site and forums should of been finished MONTHS ago...
No disrespect to anyone working on the site but this is Rods career here, He makes a living out of this...
And i have said the above before
Ya...last night the typing was simply terrible. Took me like 5 mins to write 6 sentences. It was not picking up 1/3 keystrokes and had a huge delay.

I had the same problem. I cleaned my computer thinking it could be a virus. Seems fine today. I did notice that the spell checker was lagging behind in the loading.
*chuckles*
I found it funny. I thought it'll take me to Zach's profile, but nope. :)
EDIT: What? I'm a regular member. Captcha? I thought this is only for those with less than 25 posts! :)
EDIT2: And I'm at 137 at the time of editing my post. What? And I have to enter the Captcha again just to edit my post? :|
Tch... Fine. :)
3dgameman rules!!!!!!
Okay... Anything useful to post other than "3GM RULEZ!!"? :)
As far as I was aware, this had been corrected. Please clear cache etc and lemme know.
Is it just me, or is this website very slow to scroll (among other miscellaneous tasks) within Firefox 3.6? I tried the site on 4 computer with Firefox 3.6, and vertical scrolling is miserable on each one.
Although it is flawless on Chrome, IE and Opera.
Tried three different FF 3.5 & 3.6, Chrome 4.1 & 5, Opera (what ever the latest is), latest Safari... they all run smooth except for IE, but that's cause IE never runs smoothly unless it's on a fresh install, lol but even then it's just me, not actually performance loss.
Hardware -> New Topic -> warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /var/www/vhosts/3dgameman.com/httpdocs/sites/all/modules/cck/content.module on line 1284.
Pardon me, but why is that word "a$$" been censored by the word filter ("$" in place of "s")? One of the example is a computer case that gets rated a "100% KICK-A$$ PRODUCT."
Zach & Rod,
When trying to start a new topic, I keep getting this error "warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /var/www/vhosts/3dgameman.com/httpdocs/sites/all/modules/cck/content.module on line 1284." I can reply to threads, just fine, but I cannot create new ones. I noticed this the other day, and today.
this is a test of the animated gif avatar system... AGAS for short.... or... just a horribly bad joke..
Hope everybody notices some speed improvements?!
The forum is fine, but anything on the main page for me is loading very slow at random times.
After using Firebug a few things got figured out. Whatever you tweaked made most of the site load faster when logged in. However the polls are still taking at least 20 sec to load for me.
Came home and it was back to the 22 sec wait. Logged out, clear FF cookies and cache. Login and then the main page loads faster. :)
I havent been here exactly since a while and to tell you the truth it has to do with the site. It does not bring me back like it used to.
But I really come back for the amigos I have here. Cause I know we really go back.
Regarding the site, I really don't know what to say anymore.
