Sorry for my absence recently. I've been busy... well, it seems that my hobby, photography, is getting me more business than what I went to school for years for. Wouldn't that figure.
I just did a two day photo job for a local Fine Arts studio for a dance and song recital. Yesterday (Friday) was the dress rehearsal, and today was the actual performance. Between the two, I took almost two thousand shots.
The catch is, now I have to go through, find the best, clean them up (cropping, contrast enhancement, etc.), and submit a selection of around 50 to the center. Yay, me, guess what I'm doing for the next week!
On the plus side, I got LOTS OF REQUESTS FROM PARENTS for prints, so it looks like I will be making a substantial bit on this job. Nice to be wanted.
I won't be posting pics here (due to copyright agreements between me and the studio) but expect a link to my Flickr site when we agree on which photos the studio is buying rights to and which I will be able to continue to show and sell.
Might be time to work on your Portfolio :)
I never intended to do this professionally. Figures my hobby turns out to be where people are wanting my time! LOL!
Photography is something I won't mind doing full time.
Well, this show was the kicker. I'm getting inquiries as to where my studio is... I don't have a studio!
I may need one if this continues to progress!
Nice to be needed, because PC repair has been really slow the last several months. Not even the normal relatives at my front door with their system and a cheesy grin.
