I've never play the STALKER sequel before. So, I really have no idea what this game is about. What's your thoughts? Direct X 11 is pretty impressive as I saw it first hand today, but that was Dirt 2.
I have not finished the game yet. At this point I can't say it's any better than the first clear sky. Feels somewhat like the first game though. If you like that one you will probably like this one as well. The game is challenging. ;)
Never played the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series before, I'll just skip to this game. I'm gonna play this game after the release of the Nvidia DX 11 cards, then, its a good chance for me to but the HD5850, which is in my wish list. I'll probably upgrade my RAM to 6GB DDR3 but stay with my current Athlon 5000. Hope it doesn't bottleneck my system.
BTW, how challenging is the game? Is it like Operation Flashpoint : Dragon Rising? Man that game gave me a tough time. I'm at the last mission and I am unable to beat it.
I've already finished this game and found it to be to good in this series, however still "Shadow of chernobyl" is over the top.
This game has better lightening better AI and ofcourse loads of amazing and interesting gameplay.
just check this out.

stalker is a kickass fps/rpg game(s)
Play this game with "Enhanced dynamic lightening " on and full details, you'll see the difference, you don't need direct x11 even in directx9 this game looks beautiful and scary enough, if you have good speakers and decent graphic card.
I have played all 3 and although I didn't finish Clear Sky, I really like the entire series. The new one was actually the most addictive for me, and easiest to play. It also has great graphics in my opinion, and a storyline which keeps it interesting.
The Stalker series is excellent!
yeah yeah
This is proabably the msot n00b friendly one. So its a good one to start.
I'd reccomend playing the original with the Complete mod, and CS with complete (when that comes out)
Hmm and now there's a new game out in the market "Metro 2033", i just finished it today, very awesome game and with all the necessary elements are there which makes a perfect action horror game.
Would recommended all the FPS Gamers to try it.
Stalker is worth playing Shadow of Chernobyl and Call of Prypyat, i heard alot of BAD things about clear sky reguarding bugs and other things.. however patience is needed to get through stalker, even patched the game has some issues here n there
and unfortunatly the quest system is somewhat broken in its own being.
I've been playing Pripyat, and I have been enjoying it. I will buy Metro 2033 after I'm finished with Stalker.
Hope to see metro 2034 soon, book is already out in the marker.
Games they entirely depend upon us, cuz we are the one who buy it, otherwise even an excellent game could go wrong.
In regard to difficulty, Stalker is very much a quick-save/quick-load spamming game. GSC Game World definitely show no mercy in their games. *As you'd expect from Russia :P*
yeah you really need to NOT forget to quicksave, in pripyat it isn't so bad because it auto saves alot, but still.
i finished shadow of chernobyl, and call of pripyat, have to say it was the best single player experiences iv ever had in a game, how ever, for me alteast, once the main story line was over i didn't find it very interesting to go back and explore since i already had seen everything (game encourages you to explore on your own, at any time)
also Call of pripyat has extremely longggggg load times with dx11, i mean atleast 3-5 mins to get into the game no joke, its a driver issue with all dx11 cards and the xray game engine they use.
