6850 vs 5850?

I am wondering which is better because the radeon hd 5850 is a higher price but the radeon hd 6850 is newer. I'm confused. Which is better?

The 6800 series was actually designed to replace the older 5700 series. The 5850 preforms better but the newer 6850 is only slightly behind, and draws less power.
