Jared Maynard,
So, if something questions your methods, you simply delete any and all evidence of the fact that they questioned you in the first place?
So far you've deleted two of my posts, without any reason.
You are taking this too seriously. We are having a little fun here talking about Intel and AMD. However your posts are directed to me with comments such as "Avoid Jared" "Troll" and others. Yes, I will delete those kinds of comments within reason.
JARED IS A TROLL!!! lol-Without you man in 2 days we'd b overcome by spam

ROFL! ![]()
I like those Intel Core i7 Extreme Edition 3.33 GHz Processors. 1050$! ![]()
Hey Alexander Morou. I'm sorry about giving you a hard time. Was just having too much fun with my CPU War. ![]()
I think the facts here are pretty simple. The AMD X6 is very new and only adds 2 more cores, nothing more but ups the prices a lot. If I was going with an AMD system I'd probably get the X4 because it's cheaper and overclocks nicely.
Hey, didn't' someone have a a CPU to Money ratio chart? Was that Tomshardware?
Yes but that type of chart is ridicules - cpu's do certain tasks at different performance levels so if you do one thing it could be great or if another terrible.
Dude, a six core CPU won't give you that big of a boost in games. Most games are usually for dual and quad core cpus. the 6 core CPU's go great when rendering huge video files and all that stuff. There will be games coming out in the near feature that will use all 6 cores. But for the time being, current games are for dual and quad cores. it's the GPU that does most of the graphics
just a question don't you guys think it is a bit unfair to compare an old architecture whit a new one and a non HT cpu whit a HT cpu. and also look at the watts diference it is 25 watt lower than an 4core cpu maybe we need to wait till bulldozer to start the war, it is a new architecture of amd but it isn't fully clear how it will be i read that it will be an 4core 8 threads or an 8core 8 threads or maybe even an 8core 16 treads (some sort of HT but whit more hardware instead of software) some suggest that it will be 128bitt it will need to compete whit the sandy arch that intel plans but they will bouth have an gpu in them but amd will have an ati grfx core so they have advantages comparing to intel
so jared and undeadkingpr, to conclude, wat do i go with for my rig?
Depends what you want and ure budjet-
Gaming- AMD 955 and one of the new AM3 boards with SATA 6gps, USB 3.0
For heavy video work or multitasking-i5 or i7
well ill be using it for gaming, multitask, music, general computer use, to be honest maybe a bit of everything!
but i want either the i7 930 or amd 1055T x6..
which one mate?
i7 930 is far better than the 1055 but will cost a lot more too. For upgradeability and being good at everything I'd get the 930 but if you are short on budget then a 955BE. Amd x6 is not better than a 955 and is $50 more expensive so therefore unless you doing tons of encoding it is not worth the cost.
thx man! cost if not really an issue as i found an intel i7 930 for $200 nib US
For most people i7's are good if you upgrade a lot. I'm building a i5-750 for my mother.
ahk thx
thats nice of you!!!
jarod can u plz help me in my hardware thread?
