I am going to be setting up a 30" 2560x1600 monitor and a side 23" 1920x1080 side monitor. The 2560x1600 would be for gaming and the side owuld be for random stuff offscreen while gaming. I will have SLI video cards(have not decided yet on the exact card but GTX 400 series) and a 9500gt for physx. My question is, should I hook up both monitors to the master SLI card and would this hurt my performance while gaming? Or should I hook up the main monitor to the master card and side monitor to the phsyx card and would that allow it to work as a dedicated phsyx still. Thanks in advance.
hmm i believe you can do eather way. just tell windows 7 that the 1080P monitor is just the extended monitor and not the main. in other words make sure windows has the 1080P as #2. this way the game will play on your main and your desk top will show on the other. i have a gaming lap top (1 G-card) and when i dual monitor thats what windows does to me unless i tell the game to use both. but sli... hmm not sure. but you can always try diff seetting and see how it playes out =]
