Hello I have Samsung P2270HD TV monitor (monitor with integrated tv tuner) and when i connect my pc via DVI I get great quality picture, but when I connect via HDMI I get still a good quality, but its much brighter than it was with DVI (with same contrast, brightness, ect..), if I see black screan, or play game that is dark, its more grey than black. Does HDMI supose to do that? If not how can i fix it? I tried to change contrast, brightnes, but it just makes other colors not so good.
P.S. DVI cable i used was HDMI-DVI (HDMI in video card and DVI in monitor) and if I plug HDMI to monitor and DVI to video card I get same efect like with normal HDMI cable. I use HD5770. And yes i want to have sound on my monitor.
Try swapping different DVI/HDMI cables and see if you get the same result.
I take it you are using the latest drivers? You might have to adjust the brightness via the monitor and/or AMD catalyst control center when using HDMI.
Hmmm the catalyst did something, well at night i'll see better did it help, too bright at room atm, but thanks in advance.
