I purchased a 32" Soniq LCD Tv at Xmas time and it had a dead pixel (being a completely black pixel on all backgrounds), I have replaced this with a 37" Senzu LCD which has a similiar problem but one I cannot find information about on the internet.
It has a completely BLACK pixel....but ONLY ON A BLUE BACKGROUND. On all other colours including white, it is perfectly capable of producing the right colour. So what is this pixel and can it be fixed?
This doesnt really answer my question. The pixel seems to be a combination of both a stuck and dead pixel. A dead pixel, as Rodney defined, does not allow light through, but IT DOES just not on a BLUE background. Yet it is still black.
