What are your system specs and what is your budget?

If you wanna save money but not compromise quality look at LG products, right now I'm using e2350v LED and its got very good color, especially for gaming, max brightness isn't too high compared too Samsung but you won't need that kind of settings anyway. There are also e2360v and e2380v, both are newer models but I don't know if they're available in NA or EU, there is also the W2442PA model, my friend owns this and it is very good for gaming and movies (better than mine but it's not LED like the e2350v), also if you wanna extend your budget there is LG W2486L and a 22" version (LG W2286L) these two are among the best monitors in the pc world, some even rank it top 1 to 5 (highly recommended). If you got lots of money and want the best look at the Dell ultrasharp models. A lot of people buy Samsung too, its got more features than LG products usually but not necessarily better display but if it comes to LED their models are better than LG for now, you'll have to pay more. I would also recommend BENQ if you're on a tight budget, their display is almost as good as LG as long as you pick the right one. Stay away from acer monitors...

OK Thanks,

Would the BenQ XL2410T be a good choice if on a budget?

Yeah for that kind of price and features I don't think you can go wrong. Good choice IMO.

I just recently swapped in a HANNspree HF259H on my big rig. I do a lot of graphics and video work on it, and have nothing bad to say about it at all, except... 25" is too big for gaming, at least on a desk. Way to big. Amnesia almost gave me whiplash.

Got that for around $180 shipped from Newegg. It is unfortunately discontinued, but you'll find lots in that price bracket, and the brand tends to be very very good on display output for being cheap. It replaced a ViewSonic 22", and by comparison that VS was a waste of cash!

Things to look out for in a monitor:
HDCP
DVI-D/HDMI or Both
1080P compatible (also known as full HD)
5ms or better response time
60hz refresh rate minimum
120hz refresh rate best
Widescreen 22" or bigger
Contrast Ratio the bigger the better
