Hmmmmm... just noticed you want 26" with Full HD. Good Luck with that.
Anything above 22" is fine. :D
i have just ordered the Philips 230c1 its 23 inches and its recommend by computer shopper magazine
I just recently found one that I recommended for a friend. It's an Acer B243HLbmdrz. It's an LED 24" wide screen monitor with a 5ms response time and a ACM 8,000,000:1 contrast ratio.
Here it is:

Here's another really nice one (pretty much same as above except it has a 2ms response time and a white border instead of black):

I personally have an Acer Monitor, and I can definitely vouch for their quality. Now part of me wishes I had waited a year, so that I could get one of these, lol. I have a 24" wide-screen LCD, which is really nice, but I can only imagine what an LED would be like.
ya both those acer monitors are good but keep in mind both of them are still lcd screens. They have LED backlights-not LED pixels. Yes the marketing scheme is confusing(blame samsung who started it).
OLED TV and Laser TV... Can't wait!
Well, wouldn't an LED back-lit LCD still be better than a regular LCD? What's the difference between the two?
LCD screens are built with an internal light source with the LCD layers over them. They have used Incandescent light bulbs, old cathode fluorescent lamps, Hot cathode fluorescent lamps and LED light-emitting diodes for back lighting. A true LED OLED-TV would not need lights behind the LCD layer. The advantage of the LED back-lit LCD is even lighting, no light or dark spots and thinner LCD screens.
What is the difference between the contrast and the dynamic contrast?
my Philips 230c1 arrived yesterday its f*****g great
I'm honestly not sure what the difference between contrast ratios is, but I think when it's translated to dynamic contrast, the number is even higher.
I've been looking on the Samsung SyncMaster XL2370. I think its really cool and its a led monitor. Would you recommend it?
Well it's nice, but I think the Acer monitors that I posted have a better contrast ratio and they're an inch larger.
I've seen the Acer B243HLbmdrz in the stores and it was very good. My only complain is the lack of hdmi. But besides from that its kickass :-D
I own the Acer B245Hb and let me tell you-it looks amazings-and uses HDMI
DVI or HDMI its the same crap... only HDMI supports the garbage speakers on the monitor ;)
so all and all, same quality, different connector...
Yeah, I was actually pretty surprised that those didn't come with an HDMI port because I have an Acer P243W, which was a new model a year ago, and it has an HDMI port. DVI is pretty much the same connection though.
I think im gonna buy this monitor :-D
Thanks for all your reccomdations and advises :-D
Wait, which one?
Im choosing the Acer B243HLbmdrz xD
Oh nice. I probably would have went for the Acer S243HL, though, but that's just me. The S243HL has kind of a light gray bezel though, which is kind of weird in comparison.
